Box Score Anderson, S.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Tennis falls on the road to a high-powered Anderson Trojans team 5-2 on the road Friday evening.
Josh Lazenby defeated Adam Kush in No. 2 singles 6-2,6-0 to tie up the match 1-1.
Alex Hyman then followed Lazenby's performance, going the distance defeating Thomas Smalley 6-4,4-6,10-7. Lazenby moves to 4-0 on the season in singles and Hyman improves to 3-1. The Trojans would then go on a run, defeating the Bears in three straight matches, two of which went to a third decisive set.
Tales Miranda fell to Morpeth 3-6,6-3,6-1.
Lewis Scott also displayed a valiant effort ultimately falling to Cabo 4-6,6-3,10-6.
On the double side, the Bears were swept in three matches that were back and forth. Dayton/Smalley defeated
Rhodri Atkinson/Lazenby 6-3.
Paul Lenz/Scott fell short of a comeback against Kush/Cabo 4-6.
The Bears look to battle back as they return home against No.6 Lander on Sunday, March 1st.
