Hickory, N.C.-- Bears falls to Erskine in a rain shortened contest 6-5 Wednesday evening in Hickory. Erskine battled back from a 5-1 deficit to take a 6-5 lead before the rain ends the evening.

STATS OF GAME:
- After Erskine score a single run in the first, Mike McHugh delivered a two-run shot to gave the Bears a 2-1 lead. It was McHugh's third homerun on the season.
- Bears added three more runs in the second, Will Jones's rbi groundout and then a Connor Smith two-run single was the scoring for the Bears.
- After a 5-1, it was Erskine the rest of the way. Erskine scored the last 5 runs to take a 6-5 lead. Erskine's Dayan Reinoso had the big blast with a two-run two-out homerun in the 5th.
- In the top of the 6th, The rain came in and after a 40 minute delay the game as called for the evening, giving the Flying Fleet the 6-5 win.
- Brett Fulk gets the lost in relief, Fulk pitched two innings allowing the homerun to Reinoso. Fulk moved to 1-1 on the year.
- Connor Smith went 3-3 for the Bears on the evening. Smith had three of the nine hits in the game.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Will Jones lost two-at bats with the shortened game, which saw his 10 game hitting streak snapped.
- Tonight's game was Connor Smith's first three hit game in his career.
