HICKORY, N.C. --- In their penultimate home game of the 2019-20 campaign, the Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team dropped 107 points on Mars Hill en route to a 107-98 victory on Wednesday evening. The win gives LR a season sweep of the Lions and gives them the tiebreaker in the head-to-head battle as both teams have the same conference record.

Stats of the Game:
- The Bears shot 55.9 percent from the field which represents their second-highest shooting percentage in a game this season. On January 18 at Catawba, LR hit 57.1 percent of their field goal attempts. The Bears also converted 51.9 percent (14-for-27) from long range which is also their second-best mark of the season.
- Both teams caught fire in the opening half with LR knocking down 61.2 percent and MHU converting at a 54.5 percent clip. LR went into the break with a 51-44 advantage.
- Eight players combined to score in double figures led by a game-high 31 points from Darius Simmons. Simmons went 10-for-16 from the field and 5-of-9 from 3-point range as he topped the 30-point mark for the third time this season.
- Zim Fields came off the bench to set a career-high with 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting. Fields added six boards and an assist.
- R.J. Gunn (20 points) and Mason Hawks (12 points) also scored in double digits. Mars Hill was led by a 28-point performance from Javonte Cooke and 22 from Ja'Shawn Brooks. Nassyr Daniel had a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards.
- Gunn also added a career-high 13 rebounds for a double-double and Davion Bradford paced the Bears with five assists.
Beyond the Box Score:
- This is the third game this season that LR has gone over 100 points. The Bears' season high was 110 points against Young Harris on November 9.
- With this victory, LR and Mars Hill are tied for sixth place in the conference standings with one game to play. The Bears currently hold the No. 6 seed in the conference tournament thanks to their sweep of the Lions.
- LR moves to 13-0 on the season when scoring at least 80 points in a game.
- The Bears have won six straight over Mars Hill and nine of the last 10.
