Hickory, N.C.--The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team used a big second quarter to pull away from Mars Hill in an 81-66 victory in a key SAC matchup for the Bears. LR outscored the Lions 23-13 in the second quarter and poured in 30 points in the fourth to earn the victory.

Stats of the Game:
- With a 30 point fourth quarter, the Bears has scored at least 80 points against Mars Hill for the seventh straight time. The Bears shot 42% from the floor on the evening while only attempting 11 three-pointers on the evening.
- Bears forced 18 turnovers on the evening, which turned into 17 points for the Bears. Eight different Bears recorded a steal on the evening.
- Kennedy Weigt was one of four Bears in double figures, leading LR with 17 points. Ashley Woodroffe added 16 points and Hanna McClung and Nakia Hooks pitched in with 10 points.
- Alexis Pardue led Mars Hill with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Pardue shot 11 from 22 from the field for the Lions.
- LR out rebounded the Lions 31-27 including 15 offensive rebounds. Karlie Bearden led the way with 14 rebounds. Bearden went over the 200 rebounds mark on the season.

- LR extended its home winning streak against Mars Hill to 14 with the win this evening and overall the Bears have beaten the Lions nine straight times.
- Bearden is only one of two players in the SAC with 200+ points, 200+ rebounds and 45+ blocks on the season.
- With 21 assists in her last sixth games, Weigt has moved into 5th place in the SAC conference.
- With the win the Bears moved into a tie for 7th place with Lincoln Memorial with one game to play. Lincoln Memorial will host Anderson on Saturday while the LR will host Catawba.
