Lauren Rakes RBI double with one-out in the top of the seventh gave the Bears a 1-0 lead then Rakes finished what she started in the circle with her second complete game shutout of the week. Rakes only allowed four hits while striking out six to lead the Bears to a 1-0 win over #16 North Georgia.

- Neither team had a runner reach third base until the bottom of the sixth. After two singles and a walk, Nighthawks had the bases loaded with two outs but Rakes got Jenna Goodrich to go down looking to end the inning.Â
- After Talon LaClair reached on an error to start the 7th, Lori Beth Wood moved her over on a SAC bunt. After a Mackensi Swain walk, Rakes helped herself with the game-winning RBI double to left-center.Â
- Swain stayed hot with a double in the third. Swain hit .416 this week for the Bears in four games.Â
- North Georiga's Kylee Smith had 15 strikeouts for the Nighthawks. Striking out the side three times in the game.Â

- North Georgia is coming off a 45 win season last year. They reached the championship game of the Southeast Regional last season. Â
- In last year's meeting of top #20 teams, North Georgia took advantage of four Bears errors to beat LR 4-0.
