Hickory,N.C.-- Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Tennis drops a match to No.6 Lander by the final score of 6-1 Sunday afternoon.
On the doubles side, Lander was able to sweep LR to claim a quick 1-0 advantage to start the match.

Mauricio Hernandez played a tight match with Elliget/De Groot in No. 2 doubles but fell short 4-6.
Rhodri Atkinson started things off for LR, winning in No.1 singles defeating Elliget 6-2, 7-6,6-1, which tied the match 1-1. Lander went on a streak and won the next five singles matches to put them up 6-1.
Josh Lazenby played a tightly contested match in No. 2 singles before falling to Tattevin 6-4, 4-6, 1-6.Â

Jesse Tarr mentioned how this was a great test for his team.
"Today was a great test for us," Coach Tarr said. "Lander is ranked No. 6 in the country and is consistently in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament and has made the final 16. I was very proud of our guys. One performance that needs to be acknowledged was
Rhodri Atkinson. He won at No. 1 single in an incredible match."
The Bears will be back in action at home on Wednesday, March 4 at 2 p.m.
