Wise, VA.-
Olivia Nunn had her first career double-double for the Bears but Lenoir-Rhyne went cold only scoring one field goal in the final 4:41 which allowed UVA-Wise to escape with a 70-63 win. Nunn finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds, both career highs for the senior.

-This is only the third meeting ever between the two clubs and it marks the first victory for UVA-Wise in the series.
-UVA-Wise will be making the trip to Hickory on Wednesday, February 17th at 5:30.

FIRST HALF:
-UVA-Wise's Meg Crawford had a double-double of her own in the first half. Crawford finished the half with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
-
Emily Harman and
Hanna McClung stayed hot for the Bears, combining for 21 points in the first half including all five three-pointers for the team. McClung now has at least three three-pointers in four games this year.
-After the Cavaliers took a 13 point lead with 4:46 left in the second quarter, the Bears went on a quick 12-0 run in the next 2:38 lead by Freshman
Blaikley Crooks. Crooks scored all six of her first half points during the run. Crooks finished with 10 points marking it the third straight game in double figures for the freshman.
SECOND HALF:
-After being limited to 9 minutes in the first half with foul trouble,
Olivia Nunn scored 11 of her 13 points in the second half for the Bears. Nunn's put back with 2:20 in the third quarter gave the Bears a 50-47 lead.
-The Cavaliers took the lead for good late in the third quarter but the Bears crawled back to get within two points at 63-61 with 4:41 left to go. However, the Bears went cold from the field down the stretch, finishing the night 1-for -0.
ABOUT THE BEARS:
-Harman continues to stuff the box score with 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists playing all 40 minutes for the Bears.
-
Tatum McBride and
Kiara Moore returned to the lineup after missing last Saturday's game against Lincoln Memorial with injuries. Moore returned to the starting lineup, scoring two points and adding seven rebounds in her 17 minutes, while McBride added two points and three asssists in her 21 minutes off the bench.
- With UVA-Wise scoring 70 points today, the Bears held UVA-Wise to their second lowest scoring performance of the year. The Cavaliers entered the game averaging 92 points in their last four games.
-Nunn's double-double was the Bears second of the year.
Emily Harman had a 12 point ,10 rebound game at Tuscumum earlier this season.
-Nunn joins Harman, Moore and
Madeline Hardy as the only current Bears with a double-double.
NOTABLE CAVALIERS:
-SAC Conference player of the week from last week, Nia Vanzant stayed hot scoring 14 points and adding eight rebounds. Vanzant also came up clutch hitting two big three-pointers in the second half.
-Vanzant, along with Caitlyn Ross and Kalee Johnson each played all 40 minutes for the Cavaliers. Ross finished with 18 points, while Johnson added 17.
