Victor Cascon scored his 30th career goal and
Noah Tiefel added two goals and an assist as the Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Soccer team beat Lincoln Memorial 4-1 Saturday night.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- LR did not waste any time, scoring one minute into the game. Noah Tiefel scored after a pass from Harri Rowe.
- The Bears had a couple of chances to add to the lead in the first half but two shots hit the crossbar. One came off the foot of Noah Tiefel and the other was from Victor Cascon.
- After a few near misses, Tiefel found the back of net again after passes from Benjamin Gnieser and Victor Cascon.
- Cascon's 30th career goal gave the Bears the 3-0 lead in the 70th minute.
- Just a minute later, the Bears committed a foul in the box to give Lincoln Memorial's Shanden Vergara a penalty kick and get the Railsplitters on the board.
- A third goal of the half gave the Bears a 4-1 lead. Jaime Poza set up Gnieser for his first career goal.
- Bears held the Railsplitters to just five shots (2 SOG) on the night while LR had 33 shots (12 SOG).
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Camden Coleman entered today's contest in third place in the SAC with a 1.14 goals against per game.
- The Bears are the only team in the SAC that have not allowed more then two goals in a game this season.
- Bears improved to 5-10-2 lifetime against the Railsplitters
- Today's win was the first win over Lincoln Memorial by more than one goal.The other previous wins were all by one goal.
- LR improves to 4-4 lifetime on games played on October 2.
- Cascon's three points tonight moved him into third place with 73 career points, five points away from second.
- Cascon is one of three players in program history to score thirtieth goals.
