HICKORY, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball swept the visiting UVA-Wise Cavaliers on Saturday afternoon to win their eight straight game. UVA-Wise scored the first point of the match but that was their only lead of the day as the Bears went on to win 25-13, 25-10 and 25-11.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- The Bears hit a season best .384 on the afternoon with 39 kills and only six attack errors. Eight Bears had at least three kills lead by Taylor Prall's 10.
- For the fifth time this season, the Bears had 20+ block assists. Hannah Benson and Colette Romp had eight piece.
- Helen Hamilton had 19 assists and Rachel Wildermuth tied a career-high with 12 assists in the matchup.
- UVA-Wise were paced with eight kills from Adison Minor and seven from Cassidy Farley but finished the game with a .000 hitting percentage.
- Rachel Bewick had 21 digs on the afternoon to go over the 200 mark on the season already.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Bears moved to 6-0 lifetime against the Cavaliers. LR has won 18 out 19 possible sets all time.
- With an unbalance conference schedule this year, the Bears have played five of six conference games at home to start but now will play nine of twelve SAC games on the road to finish the season.
- This will be the second time in four years the Bears will play five straight conference games on the road. In 2018, the Bears went 3-2 during the stretch in mid-October.
- After hitting .600 last night against Tusculum, Emma Clark moved into second place in the SAC with a .368 hitting %.
- Cheyenne Clonch, Amanda Planck and Jenna Marr got their first kills of their career as Bears.
