ANDERSON, S.C. – For the first time since Sept. 10, the Lenoir-Rhyne volleyball team lost a match. The Bears eight game winning streak came to an end at the hands of Anderson in 3-0 fashion, the first league loss for the Bears this year.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- Anderson held a 45-38 advantage in kills and had five aces compared to three from LR.
- After a 25-17 win in the first set, the Trojans looked to grab the 2-0 edge. The back-and-forth second set saw the teams tied at 23 but Anderson rallied for the final two points to take the commanding advantage.
- Despite a battle in the third set, the Bears fell 25-21.
- Taylor Prall and Emma Clark each had eight kills and Clark added six blocks. Rachel Wildermuth had a career-best 16 assists as did Mackenzie Hulsey.
- Rachel Bewick had 20 digs on the evening and now leads the SAC in digs per set at 5.40.
- Braelyn Faust added seven kills and a .500 hitting percentage.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Lenoir-Rhyne has now dropped 10 straight matches against Anderson with the last victory coming on Halloween 2015.
- The eight game winning streak was the longest since 2015.
- Anderson improves to 52-8 at home over the past five seasons.
- LR is 3-9 all-time in matches at Anderson.
