HICKORY, N.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne fell behind by seven points in the second set but scored 12 unanswered points and went on to sweep Catawba inside Shuford Gymnasium. The Bears improve to 16-5 on the season and remain one back in the loss column for first place in the league standings.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- Lenoir-Rhyne cruised to a first set victory thanks to a sloppy start from Catawba. The Indians hit -.025 in the frame and committed eight attack errors as LR grabbed a 25-16 win.
- The Bears used a huge run to grab a second set victory. Trailing 18-11, LR went on a 12-0 spurt before eventually taking the set 25-21. Catawba had leads of 6-0 and 10-2 but couldn't stop the Bears late rally.
- LR hit .375 in the third set and cruised to a 25-13 victory.
- Braelyn Faust finished had nine kills and hit .438 for the Bears and Taylor Prall had 12 kills and 18 digs.
- Mackenzie Hulsey had a monster game with nine kills, 17 assists, three digs and a block.
- Rachel Bewick had a team-high 20 digs on the night and continues to pace the league with 5.76 digs per set.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- This is the eighth straight win for Lenoir-Rhyne over Catawba, with six of those coming in straight sets.
- LR hasn't played at home since beating UVA Wise on Oct. 2, a span of 27 days. In between, LR went 7-3 away from home in a 10-game road swing.
- The Bears are a perfect 6-0 inside Shuford Gym this season and own a 273-175 all-time mark at home.
- LR now has 791 all-time wins.
- After falling behind 18-11 midway through the second set, LR would outscore Catawba 39-16 the rest of the way.
- Prall ranks second in the league with 277 kills.
