Charlotte, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Swimming Team broke a team record on Day two of the Fall Frenzy hosted by Queens University. The 800 Free Relay team consisting of
Lisa Boernigen, Kayana Talyor,
Elizabeth Bowman and
Kimberly Scheiber broke the program record with a time of 7:46.38. Along with the new school record, Boernigen spilt to lead off the race was under the NCAA Qualifying Time.
Boernigen time was actually her second NCAA Qualifying time of the night. Boernigen first third in the 400 IM with a time of 4:25.84, That time is currently the fourth fastest time in all of DII this year. Â
Bowman added a 16th place finish in the 200 Free with a time of 1:55.79. Taylor added a 23th place finish in the 100 Fly and
Anna Harshaw also added a 23th finish in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:08.32.
Bears are currently in 7th place with 278 place and will finish the three day event tomorrow morning with Prelims at 9:00 and finals at 5:30.Â
