Hickory, N.C.-- The number three seed Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Soccer Team fell to Mars Hill 2-1 in overtime on a chilly Saturday night in the SAC Tournament Quarterfinals. Mars Hill's Peter Plougmand scored the game winner with 1:31 left in the first overtime period. 
Carles Montoliu Lobo scored the Bears lone goal on the night.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
	- Mars Hill would strike first in the 12th minute courtesy of an own goal by the Bears.
 
	- A yellow card by the goalie set up a Carles Montoliu Lobo penalty kick in which he buried for his second goal of the year. The goal came in the 24th minute to even the contest.
 
	- Lenoir-Rhyne would close out the first 45 minutes with a 4-1 advantage in shots.
 
	- LR had twelve shots in the second half and overtime but could not find the back of the net. 
 
	- Mars Hill's Brennan Whalen made nine saves in the match while the Bears's Juan Basabe made four on the night.

	- The Bears first SAC Conference title in 1992 came as the No. 3 seed. LR defeated No. 6 Gardner-Webb, No. 2 Catawba and No. 1 Presbyterian on their way to the title.
 
	- The last time the Bears faced Mars Hill in the SAC Conference Tournament was in 2006. Bears went on to win the SAC Tournament that year. 
 
	- Bears are now 3-2-1 all time as the No. 3 seed in the tournament. 
 
	- The Bears last overtime game in the SAC Tournament was a loss to Coker in a shootout in 2016. 
 
	- This is the fourth SAC conference tournament game the Bears have hosted this calendar year.
