Clearwater, Fla. - Lisa Boernigen broke the school record and improved her NCAA ranking on day one of the four day Spartan Invite, hosted by Tampa University. Boernigen broke the record in the 200 IM, which was a record she already owned but the time will move her up the NCAA leaderboard. 

The Bears are in sixth place in the six team field after day one. LR is competing against two top ten ranked teams (No. 7 Nova Southeastern and No. 10 Tampa) along with West Florida, Indian River and Saint Leo in the sixth annual Spartan Invite. 

Day 2 starts on Saturday at 10 a.m. for the prelims and the finals will be begin at 6:00 P.M.
