Final Results
Clearwater, Fla-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Swimming Team saw five school records fall during the four day Spartan Invite hosted by Tampa University. The Bears also have five NCAA B-cut times during the weekend. The Bears finished in sixth place with 153 total points.
The Women saw the 800 Free Relay record broken first with a 7:41.54 time, the team was consisted of
Elizabeth Bowman,
Kayana Taylor,
Kimberly Scheiber and
Lisa Boernigen.
Bowman, Boernigen and Scheiber weren't done this weekend either, Bowman then broke the school record in the 500 Free with a time of 5:05.85 on day three of the event.
Scheiber got a NCAA B-cut time in the 400 IM with a time of 4:24.99, which is good for 15th best in all of D2 currently then Scheiber concluded her weekend with a new school record int he 200 Back with a 2:05.13 time.
Boernigen finished the four day event with two school records and four NCAA B-cut events. Boernigen is currently top 16 in three different events (200, 400 IM and 200 Fly) and 48th in the 100 Free. Boernigen also broke the school record in 200 IM with a time of 2:03.29 and 400 IM with a time of 4:23.91.
Bears will return to the pool after the new year with a date at Emory & Henry on January 7th.
