Wise, Va-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Tennis team won their fifth straight match with a victory over UVA Wise on the road 7-0 Sunday afternoon.
The match started off with with singles due to a forecast of rain. In singles,
Josh Lazenby started things off winning over Hoffman 6-1, 6-0 putting LR up (1-0).
Rhodri Atkinson then followed that up with a quick victory over Ferner 6-1, 6-0 making the score (2-0).
Nicolas Moser added to the lead by defeating Burke 6-2, 6-2 to make the score (3-0).
Lewis Scott clinched the match winning over Kilgore 6-0, 6-2 putting LR up (4-0).
Patrik Alvestrand continued the momentum for LR over Jarnigan 6-0, 6-1 making the score (5-0).
Mauricio Hernandez closed things out in singles defeating Srsich 6-0, 6-0 making the match (6-0).
In doubles, LR would win three straight matches to complete the sweep (7-0).
The Bears improve their record to 6-3, 4-1 SAC and will be back in action Tuesday March 16 on the road against Coker.
