Jefferson City, Tenn. -- The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Tennis team won their sixth straight match with a victory over Carson-Newman on the road 5-2 Saturday afternoon.
In doubles, LR would win three straight matches to complete the sweep (1-0).

Patrik Alvestrand would start things off and beat Ott/Froehlich 6-1. Atkinson/Lazenby defeated Dabdab/Waterbolk 6-3.

Mauricio Hernandez would close things out knocking off Janse/Oka 6-4.
In singles, Hernandez started things off beating Ott 6-1, 6-4 to go up (2-0). Alvestrand would drop a match in a battle losing 6-2, 4-6, 4-6 making the score (2-1). Atkinson would add to LR score by winning over Oka 6-2, 6-1 making the score (3-1). Lazenby would fall in a long showdown with Janse 6-4, 6-7, 3-6 (3-2). LR would win two straight matches to secure the win (5-2). Scott defeated Froehlich 6-2, 6-1 and Moser defeated Waterbolk 7-6, 6-3.
The Bears improve their record to 7-3, 5-1 SAC and will be back in action onTuesday March 23 against Wingate at home.
