Hickory, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Tennis team dropped a home match against a tough Wingate squad 5-2 Tuesday afternoon.

In doubles, Rhodri Atkinson/ Josh Lazenby defeated the No.16 doubles team in the country Stepanov/Gostoli 6-4 , but it wouldn't be enough as Wingate won two straight doubles matches to take the doubles point (0-1).

In singles, Atkinson would win against Giacomini in No.1 singles 2-6, 6-4, 3-2  making the score (1-1). Lazenby also claimed the other lone singles win for the Bears over Sumer 6-2, 6-3 making the score (2-1). Lewis Scott battled in his singles match against the No. 50 player in the country Stepanov ultimately falling 4-6, 3-6. Patrik Alvestrand also battled in his singles match against the No.47 singles player in the country Canyadell, but came up short 7-6, 0-6, 0-1. 

The Bears will be back in action Friday March 26th against Anderson.
