Harrogate, Tenn.-For the first time since the calendar flipped to April, the Lenoir-Rhyne Softball took the field as they dropped a pair of games at #7 Lincoln Memorial.
Lora Beth Wood had four hits in the doubleheader and
Kylee Leonhardt hit her 39th career homerun.

STATS OF GAME ONE:
- Lincoln Memorial scored the first 11 runs in this one and opened a double-digit lead after three innings.
- The Bears got on the board with a Lauren Rakes two-run single in the 4th for the Bears only runs.
- Morgan Beeler (6-2) took the loss going 3 1/3 innings allowing four earned runs.
- Lora Beth Wood got on base in all three trips to the plate in the contest. Wood went 2-2 with a walk.
STATS OF GAME TWO:
- Bears got an early lead two batters into the game with a Kylee Leonhardt two-run home run, it was Leonhardt's 10th homerun of the season.
- Lincoln Memorial then went on to score the next eight runs in the first three innings.
- Taylor Beard got an run back with a RBI single in the 4th.
- Lauren Rakes (6-5) threw the complete game for the Bears allowing all eight runs but held the Railsplitters scoreless the last three innings.
- Wood had two more hits in game two to lead the Bears.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Bears will finish their SAC part of the schedule with six games in the next five days starting today.
- Lincoln Memorial with the sweep moves to 19-0 at home this year and have 27 straight wins at home dating back to last year.
- After finishing 2-1 last year against ranked opponents this was the Bears first games against a ranked opponent this year.
- With her 10th home run of the season, Leonhardt has hit double digit home runs three times in her career.
- Savannah Moorefield had a hit in each game and is 3 hits shy of 200 for her career.
