Allendale, MI- The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Track and Field team had a very successful first day at the Division II NCAA Championship held at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan.
Jacob Wadsworth got the Bears going with a 7th place finish in the long jump. After jumps of 6.64, 6.93 and 7.32, Wadswoth's fourth jump was good for 7.38m which help him gain All-American status with his top-8 performance.

Marlin Davis,
Lucas Besong in the 4x100 1st round. The relay finished in third place in their heat with a time of 40.51 to qualify for Saturday's final.
Davis then broke the school record while qualifying for the 100m finals. Davis finished third in his heat with a 10.42 time, just .06 second away from second place. Davis will be in lane eight in Saturday's final, which will start at 2:20 pm eastern time.
DAY TWO
Marlin Davis qualified for the for Saturday's finals in the 200m dash with a time of 21.25 in the Friday prelims. Davis has now qualified for the 100m and 200m and will be part of the 4x100m relay team.
The Bears will return to action tomorrow on Championship Saturday.
