Box Score Anderson, S.C.-- Noah Tiefel's first career hat trick lifted the Bears to a 4-1 win over Anderson (SC) on Saturday evening. Tiefel scored less then 90 seconds into the match to help the Bears start fast and cruise past the Trojans to gather their first SAC win of the season.

STATS OF THE MATCH:

• Bears jumped on the Trojans with a goal less then 90 seconds into the match with Tiefel's first goal of the night assisted by Harri Rowe. 
• LR then added their second and third goal in a 2:09 span later in the half. Tiefel's second goal was followed by Carles Montoliu Lobo's second goal of the season to give the Bears a 3-0 lead.
• Tiefel then completed the hat trick with an unassisted goal in the 78th minute.
• Anderson spoiled the shutout bid with their lone goal in the 79th minute.
• Bears scored four goals on seven total shots on the evening.
• Trojans held a 8-3 advantage on corner kicks tonight. 

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

• Both teams entered today's contest top five in the SAC in shots taken per game. Anderson averaged 13.2 while the Bears were right behind them at 13.0 shots per game but the teams only combined for 17 shots tonight. 
• This marked the first time these programs have played a match in the month of September in ten years. 
• Benjamin Gnieser started his 30th career game for the Bears tonight. 
• The last hat trick by the Bears was on March 11, 2021 by Andres Ruiz.
• Cascon's assist tonight moves him into a tie for 9th all-time in program history with twelve. 
• Cascon joins Cory Morgan and Richard Vandy as the only Bears in program history to be in the top ten in goals and assists.
