GAFFNEY, S.C. – In their first road game in South Atlantic Conference play, the Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Team extended their win streak to six games with a 3-1 victory over Limestone on Saturday afternoon.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- The Bears came out hot, hitting .333 with 12 kills in the first set on their way to a dominating 25-14 victory.
- Limestone would respond with a 25-16 win in the second set but the Bears closed out the match with 25-20 and 25-23 wins.
- The fourth set was tied at 21 before LR went on a 4-2 run to earn the win. Braelyn Faust scored the game-winner and push LR to 4-0 in league play.
- 10 different players had a kill in the balanced attack which was led by senior Taylor Prall's 12 kills. Prall would add 20 digs for her second consecutive match of at least 20 digs.
- Faust had nine kills and a team-high .381 hitting percentage to go with a pair of blocks.
- Rachel Bewick finished the match with 27 digs and Ashley Hawkins had 18. Mackenzie Husley finished with a double-double, 32 assists and 10 digs.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- This is the first all-time matchup with Limestone as members of the South Atlantic Conference.
- LR is 20-6 all-time against Limestone and has won 11 straight matches. The Bears last loss to Limestone came back in October of 1993.
- LR is 7-4 all-time at Limestone.
- The last time LR started 4-0 in league play was back in 2017.
UP NEXT: The Bears look to run their win streak to seven in a row when they return to action on Friday as the Tusculum Pioneers come to Hickory. The Pioneers own a perfect 6-0 mark in league play this season.
