Hickory, N.C.- Trailing by 63-52 with 2:45 left in the fourth quarter, the Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team scored the last eleven points to force overtime Saturday afternoon inside the Shu. However, the Bears were outscored 9-2 in the last 3:15 minutes of overtime as Coker pulled out a 73-72 win.
Brandi Hudson had a career-high 35 points in the loss.

- Bears came out hot from the floor missing only one shot in the first quarter (7-8) to storm out to a five point lead after one.
- Cobras then went on an 8-0 run in the middle of the second quarter to take their first lead of the game.
- Hudson had 12 to lead all players at the half while Maddie Dillinger added eight points.
- Bears had half of their points from the paint in the first half. (16 of 32)
SECOND HALF:
- Cobras came out with three straight threes in the first 2:39 of the third quarter to open an 11 point lead at 43-32 forcing a Bears timeout.
- Coker was cruising and had an eleven-point lead with 2:45 left in the 4th when the Bears scored the last eleven points of the half to send it to overtime.
- Both teams have a shot to win it in regulation but the Bears turned the ball over with three seconds left and Coker did not even get a shot off in the last possession.
- LR started overtime with five quick points from Hudson and a layup by Harman to race out to a 70-63 lead with 3:15 left but Coker went on an 11-2 run to end the game and escape with the one-point win.
- With the game tied at 72, Coker got a foul on a drive with 4.6 left by Abigail Kessling, who made the first one to give them the 73-72 lead. Kessling missed the second one and Hannah McClung dribbled up the court for one last shot but her three-pointer at the buzzer fell short.
ABOUT THE BEARS:
- Hudson finished the game with a career-high 35 points and added six rebounds.
- Hudson went 16-20 from the free-throw line, which was two short of the school record set by Amy Jenkins
- Jenkins hit 18 free throws on January 5, 1995, a record that has stood for the last 27 years.
- Harman finished with 12 points, six rebounds and five assists in 38 minutes of action.
- Hannah Stull, Megan Landsiedel and Harman each had a pair of steals in the game.
NOTABLE COBRAS:
- Keesling finished with a team-high 18 points including the game-winning free throw.
- Ashauntee Nelson (17) and Dasia Lambert (15) joined her in double figures.
- Nelson added three steals and four assists for the Cobras.
