Mars Hill, N.C.- For the second time in three days, the Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball team came away with a double-digit win. After LR's 19-point win at Lincoln Memorial on Monday, the Bears traveled to Mars Hill and defeated the Lions 74-57 on Wednesday evening..
Hanna McClung celebrated her birthday today and the senior had a season-high 15 points on 6-10 shooting.

STATS AND INFO:
- With 74 points tonight, the Bears have averaged 81.2 points in the last ten games against Mars Hill, the highest total against any opponent.
- With 11 points tonight, Harman now has 499 career points. The sophomore will eclipse the 500 career mark on Saturday at Tusculum.
- Harman also entered the game today eighth in the nation in free-throw percentage at 90.7%.
- Sophomore Blaikley Crooks reached the 200 career point mark with her basket in the fourth quarter.
- This is the Bears' third game in five days and their second of a four-game road trip.
FIRST HALF:
- The Bears opened the first period shooting 69.2% and raced out to a 23-11 lead after ten minutes. Harman had eight points while McClung added seven in the first quarter.
- LR's defense held the Lions to just seven points in the second quarter as the Bears were up 25 points at the half.
- LR held Mars Hill to just 24.1% shooting from the floor and forced 10 turnovers in the half. The Bears had almost as many points off turnovers (17) then Mars Hill had total points (18).
- McClung had a season-best 13 points in the first half, the first time she was in double figures since scoring 12 points at Carson Newman. McClung made all five of her field goals including 3-3 from long range.
SECOND HALF:
- Brandi Hudson scored eight points in the third quarter as the Bears opened a 30 point lead with a 60-30 lead halfway through three quarters.
- Mars Hill could not cut into the lead only getting under 20 points in the last minute of the game.
- 40 of the Bears' 74 points came from the paint tonight.
- LR added five blocks and five steals and had 15 assists on their 31 baskets.
ABOUT THE BEARS:
- Hudson scored 18 points on 8-11 shooting while adding six rebounds.
- Harman added 11 points, four assists and two rebounds.
- Harman and McClung both went 3-5 from long range on the night while the rest of the Bears went 1-8.
- Josie Hise added six points in the 4th quarter, the most from the sophomore since her first collegiate game last year when she scored nine points at Anderson on 12/5/20.
NOTABLE LIONS:
- Freshman Maddie Gillie scored a game-high 20 points including four triples.
- Kyla Daniels (12) and Brianne Rosales (10) joined Gillie in double figures for the Lions.
- De'Ja Marshall added 6 points and seven rebounds on the evening.
