HICKORY, N.C. -- Lenoir-Rhyne had a convincing sweep over UNC Pembroke in non-conference action on Tuesday inside Shuford Arena. The Bears avenged an earlier season loss to the Braves and move to 15-8 on the season with the win.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- LR jumped out to a 13-7 advantage in the first set and never looked back in the three-set victory. LR had 14 kills and hit .273 in the opening frame to jump out to a 1-0 advantage.
- It was more of the same in the second set as the Bears produced a scorching .393 hitting percentage and never trailed. LR led by as many as nine points in a 25-18 win.
- Any thoughts of a comeback were squashed when LR took the first seven points of the third set and Parkley Hennings sealed the deal with the game-winning kill.
- Mackenzie Hulsey led the way with 25 assists and 15 digs and Ashley Hawkins added a double-double of her own with 11 kills and 10 digs.
- Emmaleigh Allen finished with 13 digs and chipped in eight kills.
- Four players had double-digit digs for UNCP whose offense was led by 11 kills from Vanja Przulj.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- This is the ninth sweep for LR this season.
- The Bears are a perfect 3-0 against UNC Pembroke inside Shuford Arena and own a 14-4 all-time record against the Braves.
- Bailey Carpenter added seven digs and her 4.22 per set rank fifth in the league.
- LR added seven more service aces and are three behind conference-leading Wingate in total aces on the year.
