Hickory, N.C. - Lisa Boernigen and Elizabeth Bowman combined for five wins in the pool as the Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Swimming Team split a tri-meet Saturday afternoon. 

The Bears defeated Lees-McRae easily with a 161-57 victory but fell to SAC foe Catawba 155-95 on the afternoon inside Shuford Pool.

Boernigen won three events as the senior took home wins in both freestyle races. She then won the 400 IM to finish her afternoon. Boernigen won the 100 Free with a time of 54.59 and then the 200 Free with a time of 1:57.60. 

Fellow senior Bowman also won both of her freestyle races. Bowman had a time of 5:34 in the 500 Free after she took home the 1000 Free with a time of 11:26.36.

Ella Penny got the other victory for the Bears in the 200 Back with a time of 2:12.55.

The Bears will return to the pool for a three day event hosted by Queens University starting on Friday November 18th.
