Charlotte, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Swimming team is in 5th place after day one of the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championship. The Bears sit in 5th place with 140 total points in the eight team field. 

The 200 Medley relay team took home a 5th place finish to open the championship. The team included Kimberly Scheiber, Lisa Boernigen, Kayana Taylor and Elizabeth Bowman. 

The 200 Freestyle relay team which included Emily Harness, Anna Harshaw, Madeline Blackwell and Isabelle Hurd finished in sixth place. 

On the individual side, Boernigen took home a 7th place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:06.02.

Day two continues tomorrow with prelims at 10:00 AM with the finals starting at 5:00 PM.
