Greenwood, S.C. -- Lander scored six of the games first eight goals and handed Lenoir-Rhyne their first loss of the season on Wednesday afternoon.

-  Lenoir-Rhyne got a pair of goals from Suzy Smith and Kaitlyn Cavanaugh but Lander's Melissa Clapsaddle netted four goals for the Bobcats. 
- Smith and Cavanuagh each added an assist for 3-point afternoons
- Chloe Christensen, Jolan Morey and Makenna Filley each finished with one goal apiece
- Tess Grimley caused a pair of turnovers for the Bears and Teanna Sieben had eight saves after her 18-save performance in the season opener
- Lander held a narrow 27-25 edge in shots and had a 17-12 advantage in turnovers
- The Bobcats held a 3-1 advantage in the scoring column in each of the first and second quarters and then added a 6-spot in the fourth quarter to seal the victory
- Seven different players scored a goal for the hosts
