Florence, S.C.- Trailing by three runs and down to their last out, the Bears rallied to cut Kutztown's lead to 6-5 but
Kory Hammett lined out to second with the tying and go ahead runs on base to end the game. The loss saw the Bears 11-game winning streak come to a end. The winning streak was the Bears longest since winning 16 straight games during the 2018 season.
Cassidy Wall went 2-3 with a pair of doubles with two RBIs and
Hannah Jennings went 2-3 with a RBI for the Bears.

STATS OF GAME:
- After an error by the Bears scored the first run for Kutztown, Sarah Harvat cleared the bases with a three-run triple to right center to give Kutztown an early 4-0 lead.
- LR had a chance to cut into the Kutztown lead in the second inning. LR had the bases loaded with no outs but a strikeout and a double play got Kutztown out of the inning without any runs scored.
- Kutztown tacked on a run in the bottom of the second then the Bears added two of their own with an RBI single by Katelyn Rackard and a sac fly from Wall.
- A solo homerun from Kate Ostaszewski stretch the Kutztown's lead back to four at 6-2.
- A Julia Mardigian sac fly got that run back but Kutztown still was doubling up the Bears 6-3 through five and half innings.
- Bears made one more attempt at keeping their streak alive. Down to their last out, an RBI double by Wall and run-scoring single by Jennings cut the lead to 6-5 but Hammett lined out to end the game.
- Morgan Beeler (4-4) threw the complete game for the Bears allowing six runs (two earned) while striking out four on the morning.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Kutztown received votes in the NFCA DII Top 25 Coaches Poll this week
- Savannah Moorefield's hit streak is at 19 games with her single in the third.
- Jennings had six hits in the four games this weekend.
- Rackard has reached base in 13 of the last 14 games. The freshman has hit .392 during that stretch.
- All six of the Bears losses have been neutral sites games.
