GREENEVILLE, TENN. – The No. 11 Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team extended it's winning streak to 19 games in a dramatic game one win but then saw the winning streak snapped in game two. The loss was just the second all year for the Bears.

GAME ONE INFO
- The Bears got on the board first with an RBI single through the left side by Brayden Collett in the top of the second.
- Tusculum would get that run back with an RBI double in the bottom half of the inning to even the game at one.
- Tusculum took the lead in the bottom of the third with a solo home run to left field from Wes Reynolds.
- The Bears would take advantage of some free passes and a costly error to push across three runs on just one hit in the top of the fifth.
- With two outs and two strikes in the bottom of the sixth, Will Samuelson connected on a game-tying home run off LR ace Andrew Patrick.
- The Bears would be held off the board in the top of the seventh and Patrick was removed, marking just his first start of the season that he didn't earn a win.
- Patrick finished with a season-high 12 strikeouts over his six innings and gave up six hits and a pair of walks but was victimized by a pair of long balls.
- Jackson Reid tossed two scoreless innings and Spencer Floyd struck out three in a scoreless inning as the game headed to the 10th.
- LR took advantage of three walks to load the bases in the 10th with two outs for Brett Eurey. Eurey, a defensive replacement in the 9th, lined a base hit through the left side in his first AB to plate a pair and put the Bears up 6-4.
- Floyd would close out the 10th as the Bears extended their win streak to 19 in a row.
GAME TWO INFO
- Austin Edwards got the start in the seven inning game but allowed three runs (two earned) in the first inning and three more (one earned) in the third.
- The Bears scored on a Bryce Stober ground out to make it three one in the top of the second but Tusculum would push it to 6-1 in the third.
- David Bell doubled to score Clarno in the fourth but that was all the scoring in game two.
- Sam Loew moved to 2-0 on the year with five innings of two-run ball.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Bears improved to 15-0 when they score first
- No LR baseball team has won 19 in a row in a single-season. Two programs had a 19-game winning streak that extended from one year to the next
- The Bears last loss came back on opening weekend on Feb. 7.
- LR is 2-0 in extra inning games this year.
UP NEXT: The Bears and Pioneers will close out the three-game set on Sunday. Weather forced the weekend series to Friday, Sunday as snow is expected tomorrow.
