GAME ONE INFO
- Each team hit solo home runs in the first inning with Kye Andress of Anderson taking the first pitch of the game deep. Yniesta answered with his 6th homer of the year and second of the series in the bottom half of the inning.
- Another two-run home run for Anderson in the 3rd put the Trojans ahead 3-1, and they would never relinquish the lead.
- The Trojans added another run in the 5th to make it 4-1. A Cole Laskowski RBI double cut the lead to 4-2 in the bottom of the 6th, but the Trojans answered back with two more runs of their own in the 7th to make it 6-2. \
- Another RBI from Laskowski made it 6-3 in the 8th, and then a very controversial play happened. Nick Clarno came up with the bases loaded and one out, and hit a grounder inside the first base bag for a bases-clearing triple that would have tied the game. However, the first base umpire called the ball foul even though the home plate umpire called it fair, and after the umpires discussed it, they had to go with the foul ball since the foul signal was given. Clarno then grounded out, driving in the 4th run of the game for LR, but the Bears never got closer than that.
- Andrew Patrick pitched 4 2/3 innings and suffered his first loss of 2022.
GAME TWO INFO
- LR jumped all over Anderson in the 1st inning, with Porrino hitting his 6th home run of the season with a grand slam. He also drove in LR's 5th run of the day with a bases-loaded walk in the 2nd inning.
- Laskowski added another RBI single in the 2nd as well.
- Yniesta hit his second homer of the day in the 4th, a solo shot that cleared the scoreboard in left center field.
- David Bell continued his hot streak with the bases loaded in the 4th, hitting his third career grand slam and second this season. Bell is 6-for-8 with the bases loaded this season.
- Laskowski finished his big day with another two-run double in the 5th.
- Lanham faced one batter over the minimum through six, and gave up his only run of the day in the 7th. He finished with 10 strikeouts and one walk to earn his 6th win of the year.
