HICKORY, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Swimming Team had its two-meet winning streak snapped with a 226-33 loss to No. 9 Wingate.
The Bears most successful event came in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The combined efforts of Ann-Cathrine Beissel, Katherine Hudson, Devin Poteat, and Isabelle Hurd recorded a time of 1:47.19 to finish second in the race.
For the 200-yard medley relay, Haley Mann, Poteat, Beissel, and Hudson registered a third-place finish with a time of 1:59.66.
When it comes to LR individual performances, no one had a better day than Anna Buchert. The freshman recorded two third place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard individual medley. The Spartanburg, S.C. native posted respective times of 56.41 and 2:18.01 in both of her events.
The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Swimming Team will return to the pool for the annual Fall Frenzy. The three-day event will begin on Friday, Nov. 17 in Charlotte, N.C.
