Pembroke, N.C.-- The Trio of
Blaikley Crooks,
Emily Harman and
Mikeba Jones combined for 45 of the Bears 58 points as the Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball team downed UNC Pembroke 58-51 on Sunday evening. Jones added ten rebounds for her first career double-double. Bears hit 23 of 26 free throws on the night to help them rebound and move to 3-2 on the season.

STATS AND INFO:
- Tonight was the Bears's first trip to Pembroke since the 2018 season.
- This contest was also the 10th all-time match up between programs. Bears are 8-2 against the Braves after tonight's win.
- Megan Landsiedel had a career high 13 points in last year's 71-48 win in Hickory.
- Harman is 30 points away from 1200 career points.
- Jones season high in rebounds last year was three. Jones had seven rebounds on Tuesday night against Francis Marion.
- LR is 2-0 after coming off a loss this season.
FIRST HALF:
- Braves took a four-point lead into the second quarter after shooting 40% in the opening frame. Bears started slow shooting just 3-15 in the first ten minutes.
- After UNC Pembroke took a 17-10 lead with 8:01 left in the half, the Bears scored 14 of the last 21 points as the teams went into the break tied at 24.
- Only four Bears scored in the first half lead by 9 from Crooks. Despite shooting 27% from the floor the Bears hit all six free throws in the half.
SECOND HALF:
- Both teams shot over 50% in the third quarter as the Bears opened a seven point lead but saw the lead shrink to four thanks to a buzzer beater by Kalaya Hall to end the quarter.
- After the Braves cut the lead to one possession with 1:58 left, Landsiedel got a steal and layup to push the lead back to two possessions.
- Bears went on to hit 6-7 from the free throw line to seal their third victory of the season.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Crooks had 18 points on 5-15 shooting and added three steals on the evening.
- Harman had 15 points, three rebounds and two assists.
- Tilda Lindstrom added 7 points and eight rebounds.
- Jones was the only Bear to score off the bench as she went 3-5 from the floor and perfect 6-6 from the line.
