Anderson, S.C.-- In a rematch of last year's SAC title game, the Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball saw their six game winning streak snapped by the Trojans. Anderson battled back from a double digit second half deficit to defeat the Bears 77-64 on Wednesday night. Blaikley Crooks had a game-high 23 points in the loss. LR will look to bounce back at home on Saturday against Tusculum.

STATS AND INFO:
- This is the first meeting since the Bears defeated the Trojans in the SAC Final last March.
- Bears actually swept Anderson in all three meeting last year but Anderson got the first win of this years series.
- The loss also snaps the Bears eight game SAC winning streak.
- Bears will slip to second place in the SAC, one game between Catawba.
- The two teams will battle again two weeks from tonight in Hickory.
FIRST HALF:
- Seven different Bears scored in the first quarter as LR took a 20-11 lead after the first ten minutes.
- It just took 2:38 for the Trojans to match their first quarter output as Anderson scored the quarters first eleven points to take their first lead of the game.
- After Anderson brief lead, the Bears took control again and reopened their nine point lead heading into halftime. Crooks lead the Bears with 14 points in the first half.
- Anderson had double the rebounds (24-12) then the Bears in the first half but LR had a 28-20 advantage of points in the paint.
SECOND HALF:
- For the second straight quarter, the Trojans stormed back from a double digit lead but this time Anderson did not let the lead slip away as Trojans took a 54-51 lead heading into the final period.
- Anderson scored 11 of the first 15 points of the 4th quarter to open up a ten point lead of their own with 6:21 left to go in the game.
- Bears could not make any runs as LR failed to cut into the lead as Anderson held at least a three possession lead the rest of the game.
- The Trojans held the Bears to just 24 second half points on the night.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Mikeba Jones had 15 points while Emily Harman had 12 points to join Crooks in double digits.
- Crooks and Jones had six rebounds a piece to lead the Bears.
- For the first time this season, The Bears did not hit a three-pointer as LR missed all eight shot from beyond the arc.
- Anderson held a 46-26 advantage on the boards lead by 14 from Diamond McDowell.
