Wingate, N.C.--The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team went 1-20 from beyond the arc as the Bears fell 63-59 to Wingate on Wednesday evening. Mikeba Jones did have a career night as Jones as a career high with 23 points and 11 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. The Bears did stormed back from a double digit halftime deficit to retake the lead and had a 59-54 lead with 2:37 left but the Bulldogs scored the last nine points of the game to steal the game back from the Bears.

STATS AND INFO:
- The Bears lost their ninth straight game at Cuddy Arena tonight.
- LR last win at Wingate was January 27th, 2016.
- Bears will play six of their last eight regular season games at home after tonight.

FIRST HALF:
- A back and forth first quarter until Wingate scored the last eight points of the quarter to storm out to a 19-13 lead after ten minutes.
- Bears could not cut into the lead in the second quarter as Wingate's Trinity Breedlove hits a jumper with :02 seconds left to give Wingate a 32-21 lead.
- LR shot just 29% in the first half including 1-12 from long range as Jones hit the Bears lone three pointer on the night.
SECOND HALF:
- Bears stormed back in the third quarter as Emily Harman had back to back baskets to tie the game at 41 with 2:22 left in the third as Wingate did take a slight 44-43 advantage into the final period.
- LR finally took the lead on a jumper by Harman with 7:51 left to go as LR stretch their lead to five points on a few occasions.
- Harman drained another shot in the paint with 2:37 left to give the Bears a 59-54 lead but that was the last points of the night for the Bears.
- Wingate's Emily Hege then hits back to back three-pointers to regain the lead for the Bulldogs as the Bears missed their final four shots on the night as Wingate take it 63-59.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Harman had 12 of her 16 points in the second half .
- Bears only had seven free throws on the night, second lowest total of the season.
- Blaikley Crooks went 4-4 from the line but was held to a season low six points. It was just the third time all year Crooks was held to single digits.
- Wingate shot 52% from the floor on the night and 46% from three point while the Bears were 38% from the floor and just 5% from long range.
