HICKORY, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne men's soccer team closed out their regular season with a 2-2 draw against Catawba on Wednesday. This was LR's first tie of the season. The Bears finished conference play with 16 points, good enough for sixth place in the standings. They will take on the Anderson Trojans on Saturday in the SAC Quarterfinals.

Caleb Wagoner, who will be graduating this year.

- Harri Rowe connected on an early penalty kick opportunity to put the Bears up 1-0 in the 2nd minute.Â
- The Bears stretched the lead to 2-0 in the 32nd minute when Voro Rivera Peris beat the keeper low off an assist from Daniel Martinez.Â
- Catawba cut the lead in half thanks to a penalty kick of their own in the 49th minute.Â
- The Indians equaled in the 62nd minute off a goal from Salano Birch, his second of the season.Â
