Hickory, N.C.-- Emily Harman game-winner shot with 4.2 seconds left gave the Bears the 59-57 victory over Mars Hill on Saturday afternoon inside the Shu. Harman scored the last five points of the game as the Bears had to comeback in the final quarter to get the win on Senior Day. Harman scored nine of her 14 points in the fourth quarter while Mikeba Jones added 19 points to lead the Bears.

STATS AND INFO:
- Bears has now won 19 straight game at home vs Mars Hill.
- LR swept the season series from Mars Hill.

FIRST HALF:
- LR lead throughout the first half as Mars Hill did not lead at all but the Bears biggest run of the first half was five, which the Bears did twice.
- Game was tied twice in the first twenty minutes including at 27-27 with 1:27 left in the half then Harman hit a three-pointer at the left wing and Crooks hit a turnaround jumper for that 5-0 run to take a 32-27 lead into the break.
- Lindstrom lead the Bears with ten points in the first half as Mars Hill's Jadiyah Peoples had ten points to lead the Lions.
- Both teams struggled shooting from the floor to open the contest but heated up as LR shot 53% in the second quarter and Mars Hill 46%.
SECOND HALF:
- Maddie Gillie gave Mars Hill their first lead with a jumper with 6:22 left in the third quarter however the Bears took a 44-41 lead into the final frame.
- The second half saw six ties and four lead changes compared to just two tied in the first half.
- Bears took a seven point lead early in the fourth but Mars Hill stormed back to grab the lead for the second time after a 8-0 run with 3:34 left to go.
- Bears found themselves down 55-50 before Harman scored seven of the Bears final 9 points.
- After Gillie hit a couple of free throws to stretch the Lions lead to 57-54 with 1:06 to play. Harman drove in the lane and had an old-fashion three-point play to tie the game at 57-57.
- After a defense stop by the Bears, Harman took the ball and drove in for the game-winner layup with just 4.2 seconds left as Mars Hill shot at the buzzer for the tie came up short.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Lions held a 42-29 advantage on the boards but only had 9 second chance points.
- Bears had seven players between 3 and 5 rebounds but no one had more then 5 rebounds.
- LR shot a season-low six free throws in the game.
- 59 points is the second lowest point total in a Bears win this season.
- Lindstrom had 10 points, five rebounds, three steals and a block.
