Hickory, N.C.-- For the third time in her career, Lauren Rakes threw a no-hitter and the Bears scored 10 runs in the first two innings, including a three-run home run from Lora Beth Wood, to beat Coker 10-0. In the night cap, Wood hits her second homer of the day to walk off Coker 10-1 as the Bears have now won 13 in a row. Head Coach Shena Hollar moves two games away from the 1,000 career win mark.

- Story of the game was Rakes as she did not allow a single hit and just walked two hitters. Rakes stuck out five hitters while picking up her 9th win of the season.
- Bears gave Rakes tons of run support as the Bears scored ten runs in the first two innings including a six spot in the second inning.
- Wood's first three-run blast of the day highlighted a four-run first.

- After getting no hits in the first game, the Cobras got three first innings hits including their lone run of the game.
- Bears responded with two runs in the bottom of the first then solo runs in the second and third innings.

- Mardigian extended her hitting streak to eight games with hits in both games today. Mardigian went 5-6 on the day.
- Lani Warren had three hits in game one but saw her 14 game on base streak snapped in the night cap.
- Rakes is three strikeout shy of 700 career strikeouts. Rakes will be the 4th player in program history to reach that mark.
