Wise, Va.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Softball team rebounded to sweep UVA-Wise on Friday afternoon. After the Bears dropped a pair to Catawba on Tuesday, the Bears used two homeruns from Lauren Rakes to beat UVA-Wise 8-4 in game one as Rakes picked up her 11th victory in the circle as well. In the night cap, Madison Wilson spun a two-hit shutout as the Bears blow out the Cavs 9-0. This is the 20th time the Bears have won 30 games in the Hollar Era.

- WIlson allowed just two singles as Wilson picks up the complete game shutout with six strikeouts. The win was Wilson's 9th of the year in the circle.
- Katelyn Rackard and Lani Wilson each had three hits while Wilson, Cassidy Wall and Lauren Jackson had two RBIs.
- Jackson's two RBI came from her two-run homerun in the 5th to extended the lead to 9-0.
- The Bears scored three times in the first inning, twice in the fourth then Jackson's homerun helped the Bears scored four times in the fifth.

- Rakes's two homeruns moves her to sixth all-time with 34 career homeruns.
- Wall and Jackson extend their hit streak to five games each.
- Lani Wilson now had five three-hit games this season while Rackard has three.
