Hickory, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrossee team saw visiting Newberry score 6 of their 10 goals in the fourth quarter to defeat the Bears 10-5 inside Moretz Stadium. This was the Bears finally home game of the season as LR celebrated Senior Day before the game. Anneliese Meyer scored twice as Chole Christensen,
Kirra Olson and
Jolan Morey added goals for the Bears.

STATS OF THE GAME
- Teams traded goals in the first quarter as Newberry had a 3-2 lead after the first period.
- LR held Newberry without a goal in the second period as Christensen scored the lone goal in the period to tie it at three heading into halftime.
- Newberry returned the favor and keep the Bears off the scoreboard in the third quarter as the Wolves scored once to take a 4-3 lead into the 4th and final quarter.
- After Morey cut the lead to 5-4 with 12:14 left to go the Wolves scored five straight to ice the game.
