Wingate, N.C.-A wild third inning saw, Wingate scored five runs in the top half however the Bears responded for a seven run bottom as LR stormed back and took control on their way to a 9-5 win over #7 Wingate. The Bears will now face the winner of Anderson/Wingate tomorrow as the Bears will need to be beaten twice. One LR win will move the Bears to the super regional. Faith Carriagan came in relief to pick up the win allowing just one run in five innings and also drove in two runs with a double in the third inning.

- This was the 5th matchup of the season between Wingate and the Bears. All five at Wingate.
- Wingate won the first two during regular season, The Bears the two in the SAC Tournament before the Bulldog win today.
- This was also the 6th matchup in the NCAA Regionals in the last three years.
- Bears were in this same spot last year but fell to Wingate twice on the final day to be elimate.
GAME ONE INFO:
- As wild as the post season as been for the Bears and all their comebacks, The newest chapter was the third inning as Wingate scored five times in the top of the 3rd then the Bears counter with a seven run bottom of the their to take a 7-5 lead. The inning last over forty-five minutes of real time.
- Madison Primm then added to the lead with a solo homerun to center field in the bottom of the 4th.
- Bears added an insurnace run in the 6th with a Julia Mardigian RBI.
- Faith Carrigan pitch the last five innings allowing just one run to pick up the win.
- Carrigan also lead-off the third inning and scored the first run of the inning and then hit the two-run double with her second at-bat of the inning.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Bears hit their 88th homerun of the season, second most in program history.
- Carrigan, Primm and Mardigian each had two RBIs.
- No one had multi-hit game as LR had just six hits in the game.
