HICKORY, NC - The Bears struggles continued on Saturday as they fell 63-50 to Lincoln Memorial. Despite the loss,
Alexandra Merceron had herself a game, finishing with 24 points and six rebounds.

STORY OF THE GAME:
- The teams started off slow as there were just nine combined points in the first five minutes of the game.
- LMU hit a layup with two seconds left in the opening frame to go up 18-14 after one.
- The Railsplitters used an 11-2 run in the second quarter to take a 33-26 lead into the break.
- Alexandra Merceron cut the LMU lead to six late in the third quarter, but the Railsplitters closed on a 5-0 run to lead 48-37 after three.
- Emily Harman hit two late threes, but it wasn't enough as Lenoir-Rhyne fell by 13.
STATS OF THE GAME:
- Alexandra Merceron recorded her 12th double-digit scoring game of the season, finishing with 24 points on 9-17 shooting.
- Merceron also led the team with six boards.
- Tilda Lindstroem set a new career high with six blocks.
- Lenoir-Rhyne shot 20-56 (35.7%) from the field and 2-13 (15.4%) from three, while Lincoln Memorial was 24-54 (44.4%) from the field and 5-12 (41.7%) from three.
UP NEXT: Lenoir-Rhyne will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Mars Hill to take on the Lions. Mars Hill fell to Catawba 75-68 earlier today. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
