NEWBERRY, S.C. - The Newberry Wolves put up a fight, but Lenoir-Rhyne came away with a four set victory on Friday night.

- Newberry jumped on the Bears early, taking a 15-9 lead midway through the opening set.
- An Addison Vary kill sparked a16-3 run by Lenoir-Rhyne to close the set.
- Newberry won the second set and jumped out to a quick 7-3 lead in the third.
- Down 19-16, the Bears battled back to take the set 25-23, capped off by a kill from Emmaleigh Allen.
- The fourth set was a back-and-forth battle, but two consecutive kills by Kaylie Cleaver sealed the win.
- Cleaver led with 23 kills, followed by Emmie Modlin with 17.
- Modlin and Alicia Barbarito combined for 42 assists.
- Led by Emmaleigh Allen's 24, the Bears had a season high 93 digs.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Kayli Cleaver's 23 kills are the most for a Bear since Emmaleigh Allen also had 23 against Newberry in 2022.
- Lenoir-Rhyne won this despite hitting just .153, their lowest hitting percentage in a win all season.
- Emmie Modlin's triple double was her third of the season, making her one of just five DII players to tally at least three on the year.
