Bears end road trip with a victory at Lincoln Memorial

HARROGATE, TN - Lenoir-Rhyne concluded their three-match road trip with a 3-0 sweep at Lincoln Memorial on Friday night. Kayli Cleaver and Averie Dale led the charge, combining for 20 kills and six blocks while Alicia Barbarito led the team with 18 assists. 

Lenoir-Rhyne returns home this Tuesday to face off against UVA Wise to begin a three-match home stand.

  • Averie Dale was soley responsible for a 4-1 Bears start, picking up three kills and a solo block.
  • After Lincoln Memorial cut the deficit to 18-16, the Bears went on a 7-0 run to seal the victory 25-16 in set one. 
  • An Emmaleigh Allen service ace gave the Bears a 14-11 lead in the second set.
  • Similiar to the first set, the Bears pulled away late with a 7-2 run to win it 25-20.
  • Kayli Cleaver had four kills in early in the third set to put the Bears up 8-4.
  • Alicia Barbarito generated three consecutive service aces, growing the LR lead to eight (11-3).
  • Lenoir-Rhyne led as many as nine points in the final set, sealing it 25-13.
  • Lincoln Memorial was held to just three kills and a -0.12 hitting % in the third set.
