HICKORY. N.C.- The Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball team opened a three game home stand tonight with a 3-0 sweep over visiting UVA-Wise.
The Bears hit .382 on the night, their second highest mark of the season.

STORY OF THE MATCH:
- Down 6-5, an Emmie Modlin kill led to an 11-2 Bears run, putting them up 16-8.
- Lenoir-Rhyne cruised from there, leading by as many as 11 en-route to a 25-15 set win.
- UVA Wise kept the second set close, coming within two at 19-21.
- Averie Dale hit home a perfect pass from Sydney Karjala to spark a 4-0 run to close the set.
- The Cavaliers made it competitive, but the Bears led nearly the entire third set to secure the sweep.
- Emmaleigh Allen led with 12 kills while Hadle Prince had 12 digs.
- Allen, Averie Dale, and Lola Nolasco each hit above .500 in the match.
- Alicia Barbarito and Sydney Karjala combined for 30 assists.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- This is the 10th all-time meetings between the two programs.
- Bears have won all ten matchups, dropping just one set.
- Emmaleigh Allen came into the day with exactly 734 career kills and 734 career digs.
- Tonight was also Allen's 75th career match as a Bear.
