Florence, S.C. - The Bears suffered their first loss of the year on the road, falling to Francis Marion 68-63.
Despite forcing 25 Patriot turnovers, Lenoir-Rhyne coughed it up 26 times themselves, leading to 22 FMU points.

- A low-scoring battle early, it was a struggle for both teams as there were just 10 combined points in the first five minutes.
- Down 8-2, a Tatum Bowen three sparked a 13-3 run to close the quarter for the Bears.
- Aaliyah El sparked the Bears offense in the second quarter, leading the team with 11 points going into halftime.
- Francis Marion tied the game at 30-30 just before the break with a layup from Bentlee Chockley.
- The Patriots took control coming out of halftime, extending the lead to 46-34 with 3:54 remaining in the quarter.
- Elyseia Brown slowed the Patriots down with two straight threes, but the Bears still trailed 52-44 heading into the final frame.
- Lenoir-Rhyne rallied in the 4th quarter, with Abigail Brown's layup giving Lenoir-Rhyne a late 62-61 lead.
- A lid was on the basket for the Bears following that lead as they went 0-5 from the field and 1-4 from the free throw line in the final minutes, giving the Patriots a chance to close the game out.
