Wise, Va.-- For the third time this season, the Lenoir-Rhyne women's basketball team found themselves in overtime. This time the Bears fell short as the UVA-Wise defeated Lenoir-Rhyne 95-90 on Saturday afternoon.
Madilyn Winterton had her first career double-double as she finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds. In all, five Bears scored in double figures with
Abigail Brown's 19 points leading the way.

STORY OF THE GAME:
- The Bears jumped out to an 8-2 lead but a three pointer by the Cavs's Izzy Proffitt right before the first quarter buzzer tied the game at 22 after one.
- The entire second quarter was played within one possession as the Bears held a slight 40-39 lead into the break.
- Lenoir-Rhyne maintained the one point lead into the four quarter thanks to a jumper by Madilyn Winterton to end the third.
- After the Cavs opened a seven point lead early in the fourth quarter, the Bears responded with a 7-0 run to tie the game at 75-75 with 4:12 left.
- With the score locked at 80-80 with :12 seconds left, the Cavs had a chance to win it in regulation but their final short came up short.
- Winterton hit another jump shot to cut the Cavs lead to 91-88 with :59 left in overtime, however UVA Wise hit five of six free throws in the final minute to take the 95-90 win.

- Abigail Brown led the Bears with 19 points and added six blocks.
