Hickory, N.C. -- Down to their final out,
Avery Kiger connected on a pitch down the middle for a two-run walk-off home run to give the Bears a 5-4 win in their first game against Lees-McRae.
In the night cap, the Bears scored eleven times in the fourth inning, highlighted by a pitch hit two-run home run from
Adda Prescott. Kiger had three more hits in game two while
Madison Wilson picked up her second win of the day with an one-hit complete game, allowing just one unearned run.

STORY OF GAME ONE:
- The Bobcats struck first with a single runs in the first and second innings to open a 2-0 lead.
- The birthday girl Julia Mardigian notched her 150th career RBI in the fifth to cut the lead to 2-1.
- The top of the 6th, Lees McRae extended their lead to 4-1 after two LR errors helped the Bobcats push their lead to three.
- Bears got a run back with a RBI groundout from Adda Prescott.
- Katelyn Rackard open the 7th with a solo home run to cut the lead to 4-3.
- Following a Madison Primm double, Avery Kiger hit a line drive home run to give the Bears their second walk-off victory of the year.
- Mardigian, Primm and Alexandria Gray each had two hits.
- Madison Wilson (4-3) picked up the win in the circle, throwing one scoreless inning. Alissa Russ started and threw two innings while Faith Carrigan threw four innings.
STORY OF GAME TWO:
- Lenoir-Rhyne opened up the scoring with a three-run third inning. Madison Primm's third hit of the day was her third home run of the season, a two-run shot. Kaylan Brown added an RBI single later in the inning.
- The Bears broke the game open with an eleven spot in the fourth inning. Warren had three-run base clearing double, followed a few batters later by a Prescott hit a pitch-hit two-run home run.
- Ten different Bears had hits, led by Kiger's three hits while Lani Warren and Cassidy Wall had a pair each.
- Madison Wilson (5-3) got the win in the circle, allowing just one hit and one unearned run to nab a victory in both games today.
- Five different Bears had at least two RBI's, including Britt Davis' first two career RBI's.
STATS OF THE MATCH:
- LR won the first 22 games in the all-time series before these teams split a pair of games the last two years..

- Rackard's homerun in the 7th was her 200th career hit.
