Hickory, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Softball team scored in all four innings to defeat Davis & Elkins 11-1 to split on day two of McCrorie Family Stadium grand opening. The Bears hit for the cycle in the six-run third inning, including
Alycea Gilliam's second home run of the weekend.
Cassidy Wall went 3-for-3 and now is one hit way from her 200th career hit.
In the first game, after the Bears things up with a four-run inning, Flager scored three runs and defeated the Bears 7-5.
Kaylan Brown hit a two-run home run in the loss.

STORY OF GAME ONE:
- After Flager scored four times in the top of the second, the Bears responded with four runs of their own in the bottom of the third. The key hit was a two-run home run from Kaylan Brown.
- The game did not stay tied for long as the Saints responded to the Bears with a three run spot in the top of the 4th.
- Mardigian's 55th career double in the sixth got the Bears with 7-5.
- Faith Carrigan took the loss in the circle, going four innings and allowing seven runs (five earned). Brooklin Heavner threw three shutout innings in relief.
- After having 20 hits in yesterday game as the Saints, the Bears only had seven in today's game. Julia Mardigian was the only player with multi-hit game.
STORY OF GAME TWO:
- The Bears scored a single run in the first and second before breaking the game open with a six-run third, then followed that up with a three-run fourth.
- The Bears hit for the cycle in the six-run third inning, with a double by Lani Warren, a triple from Madison Primm, a Cassidy Wall single, and an Alycea Gilliam long ball.
- Warren, Wall and Camden Gerland added RBI's in the 4th inning.
- Madison Wilson threw the complete game for her first victory of the season. She struck out five and allowed just two hits in the win.
STATS OF THE MATCH:
- Julia Mardigian moves to a tie for 5th place in program history with her 55th career double.
- Cassidy Wall collected three hits today and now has 199 career hits.
- Wall had eight hits this weekend in the four games.
- Madison Primm leads the Bears this season with 12 hits and a .429 average.
UP NEXT: Lenoir-Rhyne will travel to Greenwood, S.C. to face Georgia College and Lander next Friday. The first game will start at 2:00 PM. Georgia College is off to 3-4 start this season while Lander is 5-2.
