Hickory, N.C. -- The Lenoir-Rhyne Softball team went a perfect 4-0 this weekend in the Bear Bash II and are now on a six-game winning streak. On Sunday in game one,
Madison Primm went 3-for-4 with two home runs,4 RBI's, and four runs scored while
Lani Warren went 3-for-3 for her fourth straight multi-hit game as LR defeated Frostburg State 11-3.
In the night cap,
Julia Mardigian went 2--for-3 with a grand slam, a double, and 5 RBI's to lead the Bears to a 8-0 win over Mount Olive.
Faith Carrigan had a complete game shutout in the circle for her third win of the season.Â

STORY OF GAME ONE:
- After getting shut out yesterday, the Bobcats scored a run in the first to take an early 1-0 lead.
- The Bears responded with three in the bottom half as Lani Warren had a bases loaded walk and Kiger notched a two-run RBI single.
- After two runs from Frostburg State to tie it up, Madison Primm hit her 4th home run of the season to lead off the bottom of the third. Kaylee Chapman added a RBI single to give the Bears a 5-3 lead after three.
- Primm did it again with an absolute bomb in the 4th, a three-run shot which ended the Bobcat's starter Julia Meagher's day in the circle. LR added two more runs, including Chloe Woodward's first career hit and RBI.
- Kiger then walked it off with a RBI single up the middle for the 11-3 win in five innings.Â
- Alissa Russ got the win in the circle, pitching 2 1/3 scoreless innings to pick up her second victory of the season.Â
- Primm finished the game 3-for-4 with the two home runs, four RBI's and four runs scored.Â
- Warren has four straight multi-hit games.Â
STORY OF GAME TWO:
- Lenoir-Rhyne scored a five spot in the bottom of the second as Julia Mardigian hit a grand slam to cap off the inning. Mardigian's home run was her 3rd of the year. Â
- Mardigian added her fifth RBI in the fourth as Warren and Kiger also had RBI's in the three-run inning.Â
- Faith Carrigan got the win with a two hit complete game shutout in the circle.Â
- Mardigian, Kiger, and Katelyn Rackard had two hits a piece. Mardigian and Warren extended their hit streaks to six games in this one.Â
STATSÂ OF THE MATCH:
- The Bears have played 16 straight games at home.
- Primm's second home run was her 20th career home run in just 230 career at-bats. Â
